Alan Koop, CPA
Alan graduated with great distinction and high honors from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007, received a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan in 2009, and received his CPA designation in 2010. He has extensive experience in tax planning for entrepreneurs, professionals, agricultural clients, and First Nations individuals, organizations, and partnerships. Alan also has deep experience providing clients with estate planning advice tailored to their unique, and often complex, business and family situations.
Alan also assists clients in navigating the tax aspects of matrimonial disputes and separations including the preparation of expert reports and planning the implementation of assets separation agreements and judgements in a tax efficient matter. Alan has been qualified as an expert witness in taxation matters at Court of King’s Bench of Saskatchewan.
Alan continues to build on his tax expertise, having successfully completed several key courses in taxation, including the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and the CICA Corporate Reorganizations Tax Course. His focus on continuing education in the area of tax services can only ensure that his clients are well informed and therefore well served.
Alan has given back to the community through his involvement with the Remai Modern Foundation as Treasurer and Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee as well as past involvement with the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation as Treasurer and Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee.
