Course Objective
The purpose of this course is to provide small to medium-sized businesses general training to efficiently use QuickBooks Online, a cloud-based platform that can be accessed anywhere, anytime, as long as there is an internet connection available. Used in conjunction with Dext, this course will position your business to complete all accounting functions not only in a paperless environment, but in a socially distanced and safe manner, either at the business premises or remotely.
At the completion of the course, you will have the ability to set up your Company information and understand the mechanics of the online platform. You will be able to complete all areas of online bookkeeping and utilize the robust functionality of QuickBooks Online and Dext. You will have the ability and resources necessary to build and implement business processes that will increase productivity and streamline your workflow.
QuickBooks and Dext make it easy to keep your financials organized from anywhere, so you can make better business decisions, focus on growth, and take the stress out of your bookkeeping to get back on track following the effects of the pandemic on your business.
Training Information
All training will be provided via online sessions

Wednesday, April 19 to Thursday, April 20- April 19: 8:00am – 5:00pm (8 hours), one hour lunch break
- April 20: 8:00am – 12:00pm (4 hours)
- One-on-one instruction: Training in customizable solutions for your business – 6 hours

- An introduction to QuickBooks Online – 2 hours
- Sales transactions – 1 hour
- Expense transactions – 1 hour
- Banking transactions – 1 hour
- Sales taxes – 1 hour
- Reports – 1 hour
- An introduction to Dext (formerly Receipt Bank) – 1 hour
- Tips and tricks – 1 hour
- Advanced transactions – 2 hours
- Understanding your financial statements – 1 hour
- One-on-one instruction: Training in customizable solutions for your business – 6 hours
Total training time: 18 hours
Cost of the Program
Modules 1-11: $3,450
Software Subscription: $255
Mandatory Student Fee: $250
Total Course Fees: $3,955 plus applicable taxes
Upon completion of the core modules a certificate will be issued to recognize attendance and satisfactory completion of the modules.
You may be eligible for 100% funding
Our QuickBooks Online and Dext Training meets the criteria for funding through The Re-Skill Saskatchewan Training Subsidy (RSTS). If you are an eligible business you may receive 100% funding.
