Never satisfied with the status quo, Tanya Budd is driven to innovate new and better ways to help the clients and staff she works with every day. Her keen interest in learning and knowing the Income Tax Act makes her a great resource for everyone around her and a proud “tax nerd”. She graduated with great distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2010, received a masters of professional accounting in 2012, and her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2013. With over seven years in public practice, she continues to work at communicating the complex details of the ever-changing tax world to everyone around her (whether they’re interested or not!).
Tanya’s main area of expertise is tax planning for owner-managed businesses and high net worth individuals. She continues to build her tax expertise and has completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course (2016). Her focus on continuing education helps ensure the clients she works with have access to the latest developments in the creative tax world – whether that be reading recent case law, discussions with other professionals or attending conferences.
In her spare time, Tanya enjoys attending local music and arts events, travelling the world and spending time with her niece and nephew.
